Autoantibody and Lupus Nephritis

Lupus Nephritis is a kind of autoantibody disease. Autoantibody can protect us when pathological factors invade such as bacteria and virus, which can not react to the tissues and elements of our body. It plays functions depending on the tolerance of the whole immune. One the tolerance is damaged, our organic body will consider our own tissues abnormal substances, which leads to autoimmune reaction, causing autoantibody.
In normal condition, in the blood, there is a small amount of autoantibody, which will not lead to disease. Once the amount is excess, it will damage the body and leads to kinds of autoimmune disease.
