Mechanism of Stem Cell Transplantation

Stem cell transplantation attracts more and more patients’ attention in modern times. What’s the mechanism? How does it work?
Stem cell we use is such as cord blood stem cell, bone marrow stem cell, and so on. They are initial cells that can differentiate into intrinsic cells which have failed to work or have become necrotic. Stem cell has low immunogenicity. So it will not reject after entering human body.
What’s the mechanism of stem cell treating kidney disease? They are infused into human body through intravenous injection, and then stem cells will transfer into the kidney lesions by auto-homing function. Stem cells can adjust the immune disorder by changing the genes and repair the damaged glomeruli by generating into new renal intrinsic cells to replace the scarred ones.
Stem cell treating kidney disease is open in China, which has many advantages in contrast to kidney transplant. Stem cell is easy to get. A donated kidney is hard to get, which is known to all of us. The cost of kidney transplant is high, which is known to all of us. We even can not estimate the price when it is in short. However, stem cell is lower in price for it can be got easily.
