Diabetic nephropathy is a progressive kidney disease caused by angiopathy of
capillaries in the kidney glomeruli. It is characterized by nephrotic syndrome
and diffuse glomerulosclerosis. It is due to longstanding diabetes mellitus, and

Symptoms:
1. edema: swelling, usually around the eyes in the mornings; later, general

4. anorexia (poor appetite)
5. nausea and vomiting
6. malaise (general ill feeling)
7. fatigue
8. headache
9. frequent hiccups
10. generalized itching
Treatment
