With the development of stem cell therapy, mesenchymal stem cell is applied
in clinic to treat uremia. The advantages are as follows:
1. Mesenchymal stem cell has strong abilities of differentiation potential.
Through the interaction of generation of cell factors, the proliferation of T
cells and immune reaction are inhibited, thus repairing the immune function.
2. Mesenchymal stem cell is easy to get and is easy to be separate,
cultivated, proliferated and purified.
3. Mesenchymal stem cell has low immunogen. Stem cells are in initial
condition and are not easy to distinguish. So it need not match and there is no
immune rejection.
4. Mesenchymal stem cell has ability to differentiate into cells such as
renal glomerular epithelial cells and so on, which can help the rebuilding of
renal function after it is injected into patients’ body.
5. Mesenchymal stem cell has homing abilities, which means that after it is
rejected, it will reach the nidus of the body and then differentiate.
