Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Common Sense

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is an autoimmune disease, which occurs every now and then, and becomes worse and worse with the recurrence. However, patients should not be so desperate once diagnosed with SLE. The above is some common sense about what we should pay attention to.
Firstly, patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus should have confidence that one day they can get a good treatment and do not loose heart. At present, standard treatment such as immunotherapy can make sure SLE patients have normal life and work, and prolong their life to more than 20 years and even more than 35 years.
Secondly, patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus should keep stable mood and do not be nervous, which can worsen the disease.
Thirdly, if patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus are under treatment of hormone and cyclophosphamide, they should not stop using it randomly. Too suddenly increasing the amount of medicine can lead to the recurrence easily. In addition, decreasing the amount of medicine can also lead to increased side effects.
Fourthly, patients with SLE should also have regular examination in hospital. Usually, after the index shows some abnormal signs, patients start to have or feel discomfort. Regular examination is very necessary and important. Usually, for those whose condition is not stable, they should have urine test and blood test in the hospital at least once a month. If there is something abnormal, they should connect with the doctors in time so as to make sure they can get recovery soon.
Last but not least, do not believe in superstitious prescription. Some patients hold the idea that the more money they spend, the better the effect will be. SLE in the world till now is still a refractory disease, which can not be treated well easily. The main therapy for it is immunotherapy.
